By accessing or using the Sophros application and website (the "Service"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree to these terms, you may not access or use the Service.

2. Description of Service

Sophros is an educational platform that provides personalized micro-learning courses and a Socratic AI tutor. The AI is designed to assist in learning and exploring concepts but should not be relied upon for critical, professional, medical, legal, or financial advice.

3. User Accounts

  • You must provide accurate and complete information when creating an account.
  • You are responsible for maintaining the security of your account credentials.
  • You must notify us immediately of any unauthorized use of your account.
  • We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms.

4. Acceptable Use

You agree not to use the Service to:

  • Violate any applicable laws or regulations.
  • Attempt to bypass, exploit, or reverse-engineer the underlying AI models, infrastructure, or billing systems.
  • Generate, share, or promote illegal, harmful, threatening, abusive, or explicitly offensive content.
  • Interfere with or disrupt the integrity or performance of the Service.

5. Intellectual Property

The Service, including its original content, features, and functionality, is owned by Sophros and is protected by international copyright, trademark, and other intellectual property laws. You retain ownership of any inputs or queries you provide to the AI, and you are granted a license to use the generated educational content for your personal, non-commercial learning.

6. AI-Generated Content Disclaimer

The educational content, including courses and chat responses, is generated by artificial intelligence. While we strive for accuracy, AI can sometimes produce "hallucinations," inaccurate, or biased information.

  • You agree to use your own judgment and verify critical information independently.
  • Sophros is not liable for any errors, omissions, or any outcomes resulting from the use of AI-generated content.

7. Payments and Subscriptions

Certain features of the Service may require payment. By selecting a premium tier or subscription, you agree to pay the specified fees. Payments are processed securely via Stripe. Subscriptions automatically renew unless canceled prior to the end of the current billing cycle. We reserve the right to change our pricing upon giving reasonable notice.

8. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, in no event shall Sophros, its affiliates, directors, employees, or agents be liable for any indirect, punitive, incidental, special, consequential, or exemplary damages, including without limitation damages for loss of profits, goodwill, use, data, or other intangible losses, resulting from your use of or inability to use the Service.

9. Modifications to the Service and Terms

We reserve the right to modify or discontinue, temporarily or permanently, the Service (or any part thereof) with or without notice. We may also revise these Terms from time to time. The most current version will always be posted on our website.
